I, Cynthia R. “Cindy Mac” McIlrath, am proud to formally announce my candidacy for the Wythe County Board of Supervisors. With a deep love for our community and a steadfast commitment to serving our residents with integrity, transparency, and dedication, I am eager to bring fresh leadership and a strong voice to the people of Wythe County’s East Wytheville District.
As a lifelong conservative, I believe in limited government, personal responsibility, fiscal discipline, and protecting our God-given rights. I will work to ensure that our local government remains accountable to the people, that tax dollars are spent wisely, and that our community continues to reflect the values we hold dear—faith, family, and freedom.
My husband, Scott, and I have owned property in Wythe County for 19 years and we, along with our daughter Brooke, made it our permanent home eight years ago. This community is more than just where we live - it’s where our hearts are. I am committed to preserving our way of life, upholding our values, and ensuring that our county remains a great place to live.
I believe in open communication between our local government and the people it serves. If elected, I will listen to your concerns, advocate for your needs, and as anyone who knows me will tell you, I will work diligently to strengthen our county for generations to come.
