I am honored to officially announce my candidacy for Sheriff of Wythe County in the upcoming November election.

​

After decades of dedicated service to our community and the Wythe County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Charles Foster has announced his retirement effective August 1, 2025. I will become the appointed Sheriff until the election in November. I want to thank Sheriff Foster for his leadership, mentorship, and tireless service to the people of Wythe County. It has been a privilege to serve alongside him and help advance the mission of public safety and community trust.

I have over 24 years of experience in law enforcement, all at the Wythe County Sheriff's Office. I have been honored to serve in nearly every role, from intern to Courtroom Security/Civil, Patrol Deputy, Investigator, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Major, and now Chief Deputy. I know this agency inside and out, and more importantly, I come to work every day trying to think of ways to improve this agency for our employees and the citizens we serve.

I am committed to building on our foundation of integrity, professionalism, and service. As your next Sheriff, I will continue to push for:

• Modern training and equipment for our deputies

• Transparency and accountability

• Programs that protect our youth and support families​
